Hey lovelies!

If you follow my Instagram you will know that I recently got back from the most amazing 3 weeks away in Greece and Portugal! When we go away I tend to like to keep things casual and natural – in fact, we usually only take hand luggage so I couldn’t take loads of outfit changes with me even if I wanted to! However, I always make sure I take a couple of lovely dresses with me to wear in the evenings because I absolutely love holiday fashion. Here are a few of my favourite looks from our trip!

Every girl needs a short, white, floaty dress for a holiday right?! It’s such a staple piece and I feel like it looks amazing with a beach backdrop, especially with a bit of a tan! I love this dress because it can be styled casually or more dressy. It’s also super flattering as it’s a beautiful floaty shape and is layered in all the right places. This dress is from New Look a few seasons ago but you can shop a similar look here.

This is my absolute favourite maxi dress in the whole world! Not only because it is super comfortable; you can literally throw it on and it hangs so nicely, but also because it colours and patterns are so beautiful! The material is really nice and thin which makes it really cool in a warm country and I just feel like it looks amazing and so summery. A floral print is one of my favourite styles for holiday and although I usually go for more pastel colours I like the boldness of this dress and it really stands out and makes an impact. Shop similar styles with this floaty maxi , this bright printed number, or this pretty floral dress.

I saved my favourite until last. I adore this cream and pastel co ord set so much! I bought this last year again, from New Look, for our post-wedding boat cruise event which took place the day after our wedding. I’ve loved it ever since and I tend to save it for special occasions on holiday. The floral pattern is gorgeous and I love the big flowers and well as the peachy colour. The wrap-around style also makes it flattering and helps give me a waist. I always get compliments on this outfit! You can shop similar with this wrap-around dress or this beautiful co-ord set.

Big thanks to my gorgeous husband for snapping these outfit shots for me!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my favourite holiday fashion guys! What are your go-to holiday looks? Let me know!

Hello my lovelies!

It feels like it’s been a long time since I sat down and wrote a post what with being away for three weeks and trying to get back into the swing of things. I’ve really missed writing and I’ve got sooo much to write about/ fill you in on!

So, to start with I wanted to write about a fabulous event I had the privilege of being invited to yesterday; a ring design workshop at the GLITZBOX pop-up shop, hosted by the lovely ladies from The Workbench London. Some of you may remember GLITZBOX which is a company I have collaborated with in the past, I was lucky enough to sample one of their luxury jewellery subscription boxes which I reviewed both here and on my YouTube channel. I absolutely loved working with GLITZBOX and it’s lovely founder Tamsin, I loved the jewellery and was really impressed by the concept! So, when Tamsin invited me to this event at the GLITZBOX ‘pop-up shop’ in Shoreditch I was super excited to attend.

The brand itself is set up in a temporary shop in Old Street station, Tamsin is there every day this week until the 13th August (so get down there quick!!) with all their stunning jewellery on display, photobooths, fun and loads of instagrammable stuff. There are opportunities to buy or rent the jewellery so I highly recommend you get down there for a nosy if you can, but they are also hosting some fun events and I attended a ring making workshop which was hosted by Katie and Kirstie from The Workbench London. This brand and the lovely ladies who founded it was new to me but wow – I love the idea! Perfect for parties, events, hell anything with a group of girls involved, The Workbench London take groups and help you to design your very own ring! I wish I’d known about it when I was planning my hen! I won’t go into all the technical details (mainly because I had no clue what I was doing!) but essentially you carve a piece of jewellers wax into any ring shape you fancy, they go away and make it for you and two weeks later it turns up in the post! I’m in love with the idea of having my own ring which I designed from stratch and I literally cannot wait for it to arrive eek!

So, the event itself was fantastic and really well oragnised. I arrived at the pop-up in Old  Street which was beautifully decorated and complete with the obligatory blogger balloons and even branded meringues (not even kidding and yes they were delicious!). Tamsin was there to greet us and Katie and Kirstie had all the equipment for the workshop set up and ready to go.

It was lovely to meet and chat to some other bloggers and influencers while we were busy carving away our little pieces of blue wax over a glass of cava (!) and as it was a small group it was a really friendly atmosphere. The workshop itself took about two hours but it went so fast! I was pretty slow at carving but the girls from The Workbench were so patient and really good at talking me through it. They were also always there to help or answer any questions.

After the workshop we had an opportunity to browse the beautiful jewellery in the shop and chat some more before receiving the best goody bags I have ever had before (keep your eyes peeled on my youtube for an unboxing vid!). It was a fantastic afternoon and I really enjoyed myself, made extra soecial by the lovely and friendly ladies who run both GLITZBOX and The Workbench London. Thanks so much for having me and I can’t wait to see my ring!

If you would like to find out more about The Workbench you can check out their website here .

You can read more about GLITZBOX here and try to get down to Old Street before the pop up closes on Sunday!

Summer is here! Hurrah!

The weather here in London is glorious at the moment an I’m absolutely loving it. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I’m much more of a ‘summer fashion’ gal than an autumn/winter person, and I like nothing better than a pretty, summery dress. A few weeks ago I was passing the window of my absolute favourite shop in the world Oliver Bonas (literally, I could style my entire life from this store, there is not a thing in there I don’t like!) and I saw the most perfect dress I had ever seen in my life! I had a couple of events coming up; birthday parties, garden parties and that sort of thing, and I was looking for something colourful with just the right balance between smart/casual while at the same time being pretty. This dress is perfect in every way for every occasion.

I really like the top part of it which is soft cotton and a casual, grey T-Shirt style which makes the dress really comfortable and keeps the top half relatively casual. It’s also been really cool as last week I wore it to an event in temperatures approaching 30 degrees and was perfectly comfortable. The understated design also means you can style the dress with some chunky statement jewellery. I didn’t on this occasion but when I wore the dress to a birthday party I wore a statement, brightly-coloured necklace to brighten up the top.

The skirt was what drew my attention to the dress in the first place and it’s my favourite part. Not only is it made up of all my favourite pastel coloured but it is also made from the most gorgeous, high quality floaty fabric which is so cool and comfortable and just falls in the most pretty and flattering way. I honestly feel fabulous in it! It’s also a great length for me; just below the knee which kind of gives it a more formal feel but still helps me feel a bit taller especially when I paired it with my cork wedges. The way it is pleated is also a beautiful design which is so flattering and makes me feel slimmer and taller.

The dress costs £75 which is more than I usually spend on one piece but so far this season I have already worn it on three occasions and I feel like it is perfect because it can be dressed up or down for any event! I would wear this outfit to a wedding, a meal or even a night out! It’s definitely got the perfect blend of style and pure comfort. Currently it’s my favourite item in my wardrobe.

Hands up if you’re a sucker for anything that sparkles and glitters?!

I’m like a magpie; I love my glitz and I can often be seen drooling over expensive jewellery in shop windows. However, for someone who loves it so much – I don’t actually own much jewellery. It’s not the sort of thing I’d ever buy for myself, so I only really get new pieces when I get them as gifts. In terms of my taste, I’ve always been one for more expensive pieces that I wear over and over, rather than constantly updating my costume jewellery collection. A nice watch, Pandora bracelet and my wedding and engagement rings and that’s pretty much me done. So, when I was given the opportunity to review GLITZBOX; a service which enables you to change up your jewellery style monthly with stylishly designed pieces I was absolutely thrilled! It sounded right up my street.

So, what is GLITZBOX?

GLITZBOX is a luxury jewellery rental subscription service. In a nutshell, customers pay a monthly subscription fee and receive a beautiful box with 3 items of jewellery per month to wear at their leisure. The idea is to connect women with new and exciting designers who are making gorgeous jewellery, and enabling them to change their glitz up every month! Once the month is up, you simply pop the pieces back in your box and send it back with the free-post label. OR if (like me) you fall in love with one or more of your jewellery pieces you can fill in a form inside the box and the price will be changed to your account minus your ‘glitz credit’ (more on that later). Easy peasy.

GLITZBOX offer 3 different subscription options depending on your style.

As you can see the Glitz Credit that you receive towards any purchases varies depending on your subscription. Additionally, you can get extra credit for referring friends. Once you have selected whether you want gold, silver or mixed you also fill out a ‘style quiz’ which helps the GLITZ team to choose pieces that you will love!

What was in my box?

I trailed a gold box and indicated in my style quiz that I prefer boho style jewellery. Here’s what I received:

Mei Li Rose – Delicate gold necklace

How beautiful?! I love the simple style of this necklace. I just adore the shape and how delicate it is. I really enjoyed wearing it.

Tea and Tequila – Boho chunky bracelet

So, I admit, I loved this bracelet so much I actually bought it! I just love the gemstones and how colourful it is. It’s absolutely gorgeous and just the sort of thing I would buy for myself.

Sharon Mills – Gem stone earrings

These earrings are gold with a stone set in them. Out of all the pieces this is probably the one I wouldn’t choose for myself as I don’t normally wear any more that tiny studs! But I really like how these looked on me and maybe it will persuade me to branch out in my earring style! (NOTE all jewellery is sterilised before it’s sent out).

What did I think?

I absolutely love the idea of GLITZBOX, for any lady who loves jewellery and experimenting with new styles then I think it’s an amazing service. It’s a fresh idea, something different that I’ve never come across before. Obviously, it’s a monthly payment which I would definitely consider as a ‘luxury item’ and it may not always be affordable – but the great thing is that you can cancel anytime. I love the element of the style quiz and I think this is something which is really unique for a subscription service, and it clearly works because the pieces I received were bang on in terms of my personal style! The whole process is also remarkably easy; the box is delivered without hassle, it contains a calendar letting you know when you need to return it buy, all the info and prices about your jewellery AND the returns are free. I think it’s fabulous.

You can check out GLITXBOX’s website here for more information.

*Please note: I was sent this box for reviewing purposes, however the opinions are my own and I truly believe in this brand and what it offers*

What a beautiful start to Spring we’ve been having in London! Sure, it’s been a bit chilly but we’ve had some days of glorious bright sunshine and big blue skies. Just how I like them.

I took the opportunity to head out and get some photographs of a few of my new Spring wardrobe pieces from Missguided. I’ve been ordering some new items and going for a kind of muted pastel colour theme. I’ve always loved dusty pink but I’m really feeling the camel and cream tones at the moment. On Saturday I chose to wear these nude skinny jeans with this chiffon camel jacket and I’m so happy with how the look turned out. I’m lucky to have the stunning backdrop of the Royal Naval College, Greenwich just around the corner.

I love this outfit because it’s the perfect mix of casual with a slightly dressed up feel. I chose to pair it with some New Look brown ankle boots but it was also look nice with sandals, pumps or wedges when it gets a bit warmer. I adore the feeling of the camel jacket and the fact that it’s floaty chiffon makes it really flattering. The jeans are stretchy and super comfortable for high waisted. The colour is ‘nude’ which is lovely because it’s not stark white, more of a champagney tone.

What I’m Wearing:

Nude jeans // Missguided

Chiffon camel jacket // Missguided

Floral top // Primark

Boots // New Look (previous season)

Scarf // gift
