  • What motivates you to blog?

I think I just love writing – I don’t see it as a chore or a job I see it as a hobby. I like pouring elements of myself and my personality onto a page.

  • If you could have any super power what would it be?

To freeze time so I could stop when I get too tired in the middle of the week and have an extra day off!

  • Favourite topic to blog about?

Travel 100%. I live for travel and aim to see as much of the world as I possibly can in my life.

  • What is your favourite book/movie franchise?

My favourite book AND movie fanchise is and always will be Harry Potter. I grew up with it and it holds very happy memories for me. The stories are magical and I think all children should have access to the books and movies.

  • What is your favourite social media?

Honestly, I don’t see myself in the UK. Paul and I have a plan to move around and teach around the world once we are qualified. Hopefully somewhere beautiful πŸ™‚

Have fun!

I cannot believe it’s October already! Partly because I’ve been crazy busy, but partly because we’ve been having really unseasonably warm weather in London! I’ve only just dig my cardigans out and haven’t had a chance to wear a coat or scarf! Very un-Autumnly.

For the last month I’ve been getting to grips with my PGCE, studying hard, panicking about all the work ahead and trying to get myself organised. Organisation is not a strong point of mine! But as we go through the course we have to compile huge folders with very specific work from specific points of the year so I needΒ  to get on top of it. I’m excited though because I’m starting my first school placement on Monday.

Other than uni October is looking less busy than September for me. We have a few things planned but I’m trying to keep my diary as free as possible at weekends in anticipation for all the lesson plans I’ll have to do! I can’t wait to start being a teacher though. It’s been a long road to this point but I really feel like I’ve found what I’m supposed to do.

Something which is coming up in half term which is exciting is my graduation ceremony for my undergrad degree from my previous university! I’m graduating in the Old Royal Naval Chapel which is so beautiful it’s such an honour. I can’t wait!

My goals for this month are:

πŸ’œ Get as organised as possible! Start building my folders in the right order and get on top of work we have already been set.

πŸ’œ Do my absolute best on placement.

πŸ’œ DO NOT give up on the gym no matter how busy or tired I am and continue to work out 4 times per week. No excuses.

πŸ’œ Continue to blog when I can – it may seem like extra work but I find it therapeutic to get my thoughts on paper.

πŸ’œ Make time for myself and Paul to do fun things and not focus and stress about workload all the time.

πŸ’œ Graduate looking fabulous for all the pictures!

πŸ’œ Have a super relaxing half term!

What about you? What have you got planned for October?

I first saw this tag on Kimberley Jessica’s blog and I loved it straight away and saved it to do later. Since then I’ve seen it a million times in the blogosphere! So I hope it’s not too much Autumness overkill, but maybe I have a slightly different perspective to most.

1. What signifies the start of Autumn for you?

Well, for starters it’s my birthday 8th September, but I’m usually lucky and seem to get the end of the summer weather. So I would say after my birthday it feels like autumn. Then the leaves start falling and the evenings start drawing in fast. And before you know it it’s dark when you’re leaving work at 5pm!

2. What is your favourite Fall scent?

Does apple pie straight out the oven count?? I love cinnamon and appley smells.

3. What is your favourite Autumn colour?

Burgundy red – I love it. I’m starting to get more into browns/ burnt orange type colours but I find them a bit too seasonal sometimes. Like you can only wear them in the autumn which is not really cost effective!!

4. What is your favourite Fall drink?

Gingerbread lattes but that’s kind of Christmas? Mulled wine??? Haha ask me this question again in December I’ve got loads of answers. I’ll go with hot chocolate.

5. What TV show, new or old, are you looking forward to this Fall?

It’s already started but the GREAT BRITISH BAKE OFF IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT! I’m addicted. I also love Strictly Come Dancing. The TV in Autumn/Winter is much better than summer actually.

6. What is your favourite Fall fashion trend?

Erm, well I’m much more of a summer/ festival fashion girl. But I guess I do like a woolly hat with a bobble on πŸ™‚

7. What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?

If it’s a crisp Autumn day I love to go walking up to the top of the Greenwich Observatory with Paul to get a load of that amazing view over London. If it’s raining I’m enjoying staying in and baking something yummy!

8. What is your favourite makeup look come autumnal weather?

I wear a bit more red lipstick in the Autumn so I’ll go for that. I have never really got on board with the berry lips trend I still prefer siren red!

So I hope y’all might have found that interesting and maybe got to know a little more about me. As you can tell I’m not the biggest fan of cold weather but I must admit I do like snuggling down to watch Strictly  on a Saturday!

If you want to do this tag I’ll paste the questions below, and please comment to let me know you’ve done it! I’d love to read other answers!
