What a beautiful start to Spring we’ve been having in London! Sure, it’s been a bit chilly but we’ve had some days of glorious bright sunshine and big blue skies. Just how I like them.
I took the opportunity to head out and get some photographs of a few of my new Spring wardrobe pieces from Missguided. I’ve been ordering some new items and going for a kind of muted pastel colour theme. I’ve always loved dusty pink but I’m really feeling the camel and cream tones at the moment. On Saturday I chose to wear these nude skinny jeans with this chiffon camel jacket and I’m so happy with how the look turned out. I’m lucky to have the stunning backdrop of the Royal Naval College, Greenwich just around the corner.
I love this outfit because it’s the perfect mix of casual with a slightly dressed up feel. I chose to pair it with some New Look brown ankle boots but it was also look nice with sandals, pumps or wedges when it gets a bit warmer. I adore the feeling of the camel jacket and the fact that it’s floaty chiffon makes it really flattering. The jeans are stretchy and super comfortable for high waisted. The colour is ‘nude’ which is lovely because it’s not stark white, more of a champagney tone.

Now that Autumn is well underway I wanted to share a new outfit which I purchased the other day which I think is super cute for this season. I’ve been on the look out for Autumnal clothes recently because now I’ll be working in a school I’ll need to dress semi-smart everyday and it’s nice to have some things which are warm to wear but that look nice. When I as a student I used to retreat to my jeans and hoodies everytime it started to get a bit cold but those days are over!
There are some really nice Autumnal clothes in virtually all the high street shops at the moment – but these items came from Primark and H&M.
Burgundy Swallows Shirt
This is a really light shirt but I like it because it’s got a really practical sleeve length for school and just general wear – between full length and three quarter length. It’s a really nice burgundy/brown colour which will go with anything and I love the pattern with the swallows on it.
Tartan Black and White Knit.
This is my favourite item that I bought and I’m not gunna lie I’ve worn it pretty much constantly since I bought it! It’s half cardie half blanket, basically a cosy blanket with arm holes! What’s not to love?? I really like the tartan pattern as well.
You can’t go wrong with these Primark dolly shoes so I got a pair in both beige and black as they both look nice with the outfit. I find that even though they are pretty much the cheapest flats around they are also the most comfortable! Some more expensive brands blister my wet so much, but these are dead soft. And if they wear out a bit quicker than other brands who cares?! I’ll get a new pair!
Suede Mini Skirt.
Lastly, my favourite peice of this outfit. This skirt is a really nice suede material and looks super cute with a pair of thick knit black tights. The colour looks slightly different in real life; it’s more yellowy beige rather than brown – and the buttons all down the front are such a cute feature. I’m looking forward to getting a lot of wear out of it this Autumn.
So there you have it, my new Autumn outfit on a budget! Have you bought anything new for this season?
On Sunday I celebrated my 25th birthday with a joint party for me and my cousin who was 25 in August. We have always been brought up like sisters and even used to be dressed the same as if we are twins! She’s my best friend so it was lovely to share our family party.
It was a small garden party at my parents and we were sooo lucky with the weather! Beautiful sunshine all day and a pretty warm day. Unusual for September but then you never know with England!
I always like to make a bit of an effort for parties – especially my own! So I ordered a dress from Asos for the occasion. The ‘Kate’ Lace Minidress (petite range) is baby pink with lace cap sleeves and a beautiful slightly pleated skirt. It was a perfect length for me as at 5ft4 I often find the regular Asos clothes too long for me. I teamed it with some chunky New Look cork wedges that I’ve had for a long time!
I got a few compliments on my outfit, as well as a few comments from my male cousins that I ‘looked like Barbie’!! But I’ll take that as a compliment. I’m sure it was meant to be…
