Hands up if you love gin! Everyone?? Yep, I thought so. Gin is IN. It is the now drink. It’s become the high fashion, go-to choice which screams sophistication. Plus, it’s a lot less calorific and fattening than other tipples like wine or prosecco. Hello gin.

So, when Gin Explorer got in touch with me and asked me to review their November box of their monthly gin subscription service I was only too happy to oblige. I am by no means a gin expert, but I drink gin so I feel I am well placed to review a box of delicious gins from around the world.

So what is it?

Gin Explorer is a monthly subscription service which delivers 4 gin miniatures from around the world. The box is beautifully presented and each month includes 4 delicious, hand-picked bottles of gin for the lucky customer to sample. In addition; you get interesting information about your gins including where they come from and how they’re made. In my November box I also received some cucumber tonic and some nibbles.

I get it. A monthly subscription for alcohol does seem a bit luxurious and something that the rich and famous would indulge in! However, I’ve been doing my sums and if you enjoy a social drink at home with friends or partners then this could actually work out cheaper than purchasing your booze ad hoc. Also, it’s much more sociable and fun to try a variety of gins with your friends than to just settle down with a bottle of Gordons for the night. Just saying.

There are several ways to pay for this subscription. You can pay monthly; which costs £24.99 inc. delivery, or you can save money by paying upfront for 3 months (£69.99) or even a whole year (£279.99).

In my box I received 4 gins which were all seriously yummy; Herni Gin, Leeds Gin, a rhubarb and custard flavoured gin and Thompsons Grape Gin. My favourite was the Grape gin.

This would be an amazing Christmas gift for the gin lover in your life, or equally a little naughty treat for yourself. How exciting to have a surprise delivery of mini gins every month, come on??

My favourite new additions to my jewellery collection is this gorgeous rose gold edition Pandora bracelet. I have been lusting after these bracelets for years but it’s not the sort of thing I would ever get round to buying for myself! So I was delighted to get one for my 25th birthday. I chose rose gold because a) I love it and b) my wedding, engagement ring and watch are all rose gold and it looks lushhhhh all matching.

I decided to start off with a glass charm because they are my favourite and I had a bit of birthday money left over. In the end after much deliberation I chose the Nostalgic Roses bead. I think the pink looks stunning with the rose gold bracelet.

I can’t wait to fill up the rest of the bracelet with charms! I have my eye on a few of the rose gold diamante ones. On the Pandora website you can make a wishlist with all your favourites so that family and friends can see which ones you like – what a grand idea! What I love about charm bracelets is that you can collect charms which represent milestones or special events, and you will always remember the people who gave them to you for whatever reason. They are an extra special piece of jewellery which is totally unique to you.

Do you have a charm bracelet? Which is your favourite?
