Who doesn't think their mum is the most special woman ever?! I know Mother's Day can be a challenge gift wise, my mum's got everything and is super difficult to buy for. I usually go down the route of buying her something which she would not think to buy for herself, something luxury, which you don't necessarily need but everyone wants, right?! Mum's (and Dad's!) do so much for us so it's only fair to treat them to something special on their respective days of appreciation. Here are just a few ideas of how to go the extra mile for your mum this Mother's Day.

L'Occitane luxury perfumes

L'Occitane is a gorgeous luxury brand which has always been a favourite of both me and my mum. They specialise in divine smelling perfume for women and would be a perfect treat to spoil you mother! A personal favourite of mine is the Terre De Lumiere eau de parfum which is a gorgeous aromatic fragrance, but they stock a full range of scents to suit any style. Not only do the perfumes smell delicious, but the packaging is so classy and stylish which set's L'Occitane apart from other perfume brands. The French-style theme makes them really appealing gifts too. A perfect gift for a perfect mum who loves her classy and sophisticated fragrances.

Personalised Family Names Necklace

If your mum's not so into her beauty then why not treat her to a stunning, bespoke piece of jewellery like this family names necklace from notonthehighstreet.com. Available in gold, silver and rose gold (my fave – obvs!!) this necklace is such a cute idea, particularly if you have brothers and sisters. I often think that 'name' jewellery is a bit tacky but I love the class design of this necklace and it's such a sweet idea for a mum, particularly if her grown up children have moved on from the home. This way she's always got you close to her heart even if you're far away (aww!).

Weekend Away Glamping

If you'd rather treat mum to some quality time together then why not book a luxury glamping experience and escape from it all somewhere in the UK. Glamping has come a long way, and even if you or your mum don't fancy getting muddy in a two-man tent, there is still so much choice. I use Canopy and Stars to find our beautiful weekends away and they've got everything from stunning converted horsebox's to dreamy treehouses with hot tubs, and not a ground sheet in sight I swear! Check out my glamping experiences or browse Canopy and Star's website to see what wonders you can find near you – your mum will love it trust me!

I hope these gifting ideas will have given you some inspiration and that there's something for everyone. I adore gifting for the people I love and I truly believe it's really important to put thought and effort into every gift. So make sure you treat your mum to something as special as she is!

I am fully obsessed with this fragrance right now. I love Liz Earle at the best of times but this is one of my favourite products by far. I’m really enjoying it for summer because it’s light and floral and girly but at the same time not too sweet. It’s not cheap. To buy it from a Liz Earle counter or store it’s approaching £50, I have seen discounted ones on Amazon etc but I have no idea if they would be the real deal. In my opinion it’s definitely worth the money.  It’s just the sort of delicate fragrance that I like. Plus the packaging is absolutely gorgeous (if I’m honest it’s half the reason I bought it in the first place – and now I’m in love!).
