If you’ve been following my blog or my insta you will probably be sick to death of my wedding photo spam but SORRY there’s more to come! It was my wedding day after all. Today I’m going to write about one of the most magical experiences of my life (apart from the actual wedding of course); our post-wedding location shoot.
You may be aware that we had less than desirable weather for our wedding day – therefore we missed out somewhat on the stunning backdrop of our cliff top villa reception. We decided to get the photographer to take us back to the villa a few days later in all our wedding get up so that we could capture some of the magic.

It was so much fun! I thought I’d be nervous as I’ve never been photographed professionally before, but the photographer put us at ease and just told us to be natural. We literally just wandered round the garden, chatting and laughing and stopped for the odd smooch occasionally! I’m so pleased with how they came out the villa looks stunning.

Now onto the best bit. The photographer asked us if we would be keen to go and shoot at a tidy, secret beach and maybe even go in the sea as he had an underwater camera! I didn’t hesitate. I love the ocean, being a dive master I am a mermaid at heart and how different and exciting to have underwater wedding photographs?? Not many people can say they’ve got those. I did have a quick thought about getting my dress wet, but then I though HELL I’m never going to wear it again! And incidentally it recovered just fine and you wouldn’t even know I went swimming in it!

My dreams of becoming a mermaid are realised!

What do you think?? Would you wear your wedding dress underwater?

♥♥♥♥♥ 5 Star Recommendation

One of my hero products of Summer 2016 – Bed Head’s Beach Bound hair protection spray. I have had quite an extended summer holiday this year, what with a week for the wedding and then Portugal for our holiday, so I was very lucky to spend a few weeks in sun, sea and sand.

I’m a low maintenance girl on holiday (no makeup, natural dried hair etc) so it’s not really the norm for me to stock up on ‘holiday products’ but this time I decided to invest in something to protect my hair from all the damage.

I bought the Beach Bound spray because I wanted something that would protect my hair from sun damage and salt water but also something that I could leave in all day and evening and it would give my hair a nice beachy, wavy look. This product delivered on all levels and it lived up to my expectations entirely. It’s also super convenient and portable for travelling due to it’s compact size and smells yummy. I haven’t much experience with leave-in sprays so I can’t really compare it, but for me, it worked amazingly. My hair maintained good condition and I really  liked the way it looked when I had the spray in. It really made my holiday a lot easier and saved my killing my hair by dragging a brush through it every night!
